What’s Monopoly Go Bank Heist?
In Monopoly Go, Bank Heist is a minigame triggered when you land on one of the Railroad Tiles. Bank Heists allow you to infiltrate another player’s bank and steal all their cash.
During this minigame, you’re presented with a collection of vault doors. Each one hides your opponent’s treasure! Once you’ve found three treasures of a kind, you’ll see how much money you’ve stolen!

How To Play Bank Heist?
The Bank Heist is triggered by landing on the Railroad tiles on the Monopoly Go board. A Bank Heist consists of a grid of 12 vault doors, each hiding a diamond ring, a cash stack, or a silver coin.
In the Bank Heist minigame, you will find vault doors that hide your opponent’s treasure. Tap on the vault doors; once you find three of the same kind of item, you will see how much money you’ve stolen.
There are three heists possible:
- Grand Heist (Diamond Ring): Collect all three rings to grab all the money.
- Large Heist (Cash Stack): Match three stacks of cash for the largest share of the target’s money.
- Small Heist (Silver Coin): Find three coins before other patterns to take the smallest share of cash.
Tip : Bank heists do not allow revenge, so you cannot target a specific player or be targeted by someone you have robbed.
How To Avoid Bank Heists?
While it is possible to prevent shutdowns by using shields, there is currently no way to avoid bank heists initiated by friends or random Monopoly Go players.
To prevent a bank heist, spend your money before exiting the game. Currently, there’s no shield feature to protect your bank, making it vulnerable to attacks from friends or random players while you’re offline.
Special Tip : Visiting the game regularly during the day reduces the chances of heists.
Tip : Loss is proportionate. While opponents may earn millions by emptying your bank, your loss is based on your inventory.
How To Cancel a Bank Heist?
Bank heists cannot be canceled once initiated. You can exit the game to stop the bank heist, but you will lose this opportunity.
Monopoly Go Bank Heist Patterns
There is no specific Monopoly Go Bank Heist pattern to follow. Here, “Pattern” means a sequence of open vault doors to always win grand heist rewards.
In most cases, tips and tricks do not work for the Bank Heist minigame because the game is all about random vault door selection and luck.
However, as a best practice, you can try to remember your previous Bank Heist patterns and use them as a reference to win a bigger heist.
Lastly, I always open the vault doors that are aligned and closest to each other. Additionally, I try to hit targets that are in polygon shapes.
